It’s hilarious that non-Americans on Tumblr are all like “OMG DENNY’S TUMBLR MAKES ME WISH I LIVED IN AMERICA SO I COULD EAT THERE,” while us Americans will literally only eat at Dennys if it’s 3 in the morning and we’ve lost control of our life.

You don’t go to Denny’s. You end up at Denny’s.

That’s not something to joke about, Gabriel. (x)

What I love about this is, he’s demeaning Daryl’s contribution to the group. And no one laughs because they know what it’s like to be starving, know how unbelievably lucky they are to have Daryl hunting squirrels for them. But this guy has been hidden away with his canned goods so he is completely oblivious, and thinks what they have is meager. He judges them and Daryl based on old world standards, and behaves in a way that is unchristian to boot—they gave him hospitality, saved his life, and gave him what little they had to eat, and he belittles them for not having more. Little does he know, he just ran into the richest motherfuckers on the planet.

Re-reblogging for that comment ♥

"I think he would be concerned about Beth. I think also because he believed at one time that people could be brought back, and then lost that belief, I’m not sure that he would buy into that [hope in D.C.]. He would be looking for Beth."

I’m sorry, I can’t understand why people are complaining about Maggie. She did bring up Beth when they first got separated. Her and Glenn were both suppose to be on the bus, so I’m sure at the time she thought if she found Glenn she found Beth. Beth was also healthy and not sick…

One of the things that kind of made me sad was thinking that, while Maggie knew Beth was alive, by making the DC decision, that was kind of saying she would likely never see Beth again. I definitely thought that kind of thinking WOULD have made her sad, which we didn’t directly see. Knowing that there is definitely more Beth to come, I’m waiting to see how TPTB handle it.

Look, I agree that she has no way to look for Beth, literally she could be anywhere by now. They could stay around for months and never find her. It’d be doing nothing but stopping them from going forward.

BIG BUT, THOUGH.

If I knew my sister was alive, and I knew she’d been kidnapped, having seen what Maggie has seen, I would be, at least, WORRIED about the HORRIFYING things she could be going through. It just sucks that she’s not making any comments about that. I know there is no point in crying about it because there is nothing you could do, but it’s her sister, you know? It sucks that there are no on-screen comments on that. It just sucks that she’s going around kissing Glenn and becoming bff with Tara and having a laugh and not sparing a second to comment on her sister.

And also, being in a church, you know, WHY ISN’T SHE ASKING GABRIEL IF HE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT CARS WITH CROSSES ON THEM BTW. NOT JUST HER BUT EVERYONE ELSE.

Was there ever any implication that Daryl told any of them the exact parameters of what happened with Beth?

I mean, we heard the last part of it. Black car, white cross. Tried to follow it. She’s alive. I think if he told Maggie they were together and she was taken that pretty much sounds like kidnapping to me. And given that Maggie has heard before of girls being taken and kidnapped and raped and/or killed, I would imagine she would think that’s what happened to her. I don’t think Daryl has ever doubted or implied anything other than she was taken away. She literally yelled at him she was not gonna leave him.

Honestly, I’m not even mad at Maggie or Rick or any of the characters; I’m mad at the show. It’s easy to headcanon all the reasons why Maggie isn’t actively searching -it’s a great big fucking world and where do you even begin to start? And we know she loves her sister, we know she’s thinking about her, we know Beth’s well being is important to her. I have no doubt about these things. But it’s still a television show and we shouldn’t HAVE to rely on our own headcanons or fanwanking or whatever to tell a complete story. Other than Hershel who they know is dead, Beth is the only member of the family from the prison that’s missing and her absence should be felt by more than a ten second shot of Daryl’s puppy dog eyes. I don’t need a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth or fighting over whether to search for her or go to Washington, but a mention, a brief “hey if Washington is a place where people are going maybe Beth’s headed there too”, a SOMETHING. But the characters failing to acknowledge her is the show failing to acknowledge her and to me that plays like a complete misstep because it runs the risk of turning her into just another dead girl and fuck that shit.
